“This also reminds me of the Clutter game series, which we declined to feature at a GDC Indie Games Summit for ‘you did great, but this isn’t replicable by our audience’ reasons – which earned me a scorching email from creator Joe Cassavaugh.”

Scorching but true I believe.

I’ve just released my 13th Clutter game called Clutter’s Greatest Hits, and The Franchise Effect is alive and well in the Casual PC Download space (and has led to 4 Mobile Titles and a few on Switch as well).

GDC and the Indie Games Summit still wants to promote “Win the Lottery” stories like Threes and Wordle which are 100% “ain’t replicable for anyone anywhere”.

And I’m not angry….just trying to be funny.

This was a good article.

To paraphrase Mark Twain: “The reports of the death of the Casual PC Space have been greatly exaggerated!!!”
